NuStar Announces Key Executive Promotions and Names Corporate Officers




SAN ANTONIO, April 21, 2009 – NuStar Energy L.P. (NYSE: NS) today announced the promotions of four key executives based on their individual achievements and significant contributions to the company’s growth and success.

Mary Morgan has been promoted to serve as president of NuStar's European operations. In her new role, she will oversee all of the company’s operational and marketing functions in Europe, which includes six separate subsidiaries, while directing business development efforts to expand NuStar’s business in the region. She has also relocated from San Antonio to the company’s new international office in London. Since joining NuStar as part of the company’s acquisition of Kaneb in 2005, Morgan has headed up the company’s marketing and business development department, which is responsible for identifying and evaluating new company-wide business opportunities and overseeing the marketing of NuStar’s pipeline and terminal operations. Morgan has more than 26 years of industry experience in virtually every area of marketing and operations. Prior to her positions with NuStar and Kaneb, she held management positions with Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P., Santa Fe Pacific, Exxon Pipeline and Amoco Production. In addition to her new title, Morgan will remain an officer of the company and maintain her title as senior vice president of NuStar GP, LLC.

Danny Oliver has been promoted to vice president of marketing and business development and elected as an officer of the company. In his previous role as vice president of trading, Oliver was instrumental in building NuStar’s successful trading operations from the ground up. Oliver has 20 years of industry experience, holding management positions in supply, trading, operations and marketing. Prior to joining NuStar in 2007, he spent 10 years at Valero where he worked in product trading and played a key role in the company’s aggressive acquisitions of refinery and logistics assets. Oliver previously worked at Enron Corp. in international trading, and at Kerr-McGee Refining & Marketing in products scheduling and accounting.

Mark Meador has been promoted to vice president of investor relations and elected as an officer of the company. Meador will continue to be responsible for representing NuStar to the investment community and building relationships with investors all over the world, ranging from major investment banks to individual unitholders. He has been instrumental in NuStar’s efforts to attract new investors by directing outreach efforts, such as investor road shows and conferences, and developing financial and industry reporting materials used in presentations illustrating the benefits of investing in NuStar Energy and NuStar GP Holdings. Meador joined the company in 2001 and worked in budgeting and forecasting before joining investor relations. He previously worked for Arthur Andersen in Houston.

Amy Perry has been promoted and elected to serve as corporate secretary. In her role as assistant general counsel, Perry has been responsible for overseeing the complex commercial and corporate legal structure for the 60 corporate entities under the NuStar umbrella that operate in seven different countries. In this role, she is responsible for negotiating, drafting and reviewing the hundreds of agreements and other documents used by every business unit within the company. And, she oversees the company's efforts to maintain compliance with antitrust and securities laws. Perry joined the company as Counsel in 2003, and she previously worked for prestigious law firms in New York and Austin.
